How you can help:
Welcome!
The Livingston Area Pet Pantry (LAPP), an all-volunteer organization, is dedicated to helping provide supplemental pet food to families facing financial hardship. Our goal is to see that no dog or cat goes hungry or homeless because their owners cannot afford to feed them.
LAPP collects pet food from our donation sites and is then distributed through partnerships with service agencies throughout Livingston County, Michigan.
To qualify for our program, you must meet one of the following:
Medicare
SSI Benefits
SNAP
Have been a patron of Gleaners Food Bank
Be referred by one of our Social Service Agencies
Be facing a short term financial hardship
You may request help directly by phoning us to arrange for a food pick-up by calling
810-623-2787
Emergency pick-ups can be arranged.
-
Donate Pet Food: Your pet food donation can be dropped off at any of our collection sites throughout the community.
-
Organize a Food-Raiser: This is an easy and rewarding way for animal lovers, neighborhoods, groups, schools, businesses, and churches to help LAPP collect food for pet families in need. All brands of canned and dry food for cats and dogs accepted. Medium sized dry food bags are preferred. Let us know if you would like to organize a pet food drive or fundraiser.
